Meng argued not liable to the charges on Friday. In a Friday evening public interview, Trudeau said Kovrig and Spavor had gone through “a unimaginably troublesome experience.” In August, China had condemned Spavor to 11 years in jail on spying charges. Kovrig had not been condemned before his delivery.
